10 Songs That Will Make You Feel Like a Woman
Updated: Sep 30, 2019

1.) If you're looking for some classic Girl Power Anthems, look no further than Shania Twain. Cliche, maybe. But who is mad? No one. In fact, I won't just give you the song I know you're thinking of. Man! I Feel Like a Woman is an obvious choice, but the lesser obvious Shania anthems are I'm Gonna Getcha Good, Up!, That Don't Impress Me Much, and Any Man of Mine. Each wonderful and powerful on their own accord. I recommend you just throw them onto your playlist now. I understand I am already off to a bad start on my numbering system, let's just say these songs are all included for the price of one.
2.) Hit Me With Your Best Shot – Pat Benatar Here is the Trivial Pursuit history lesson you didn't ask for today ladies and gents. Upon googling (verb. to search on google) Hit Me With Your Best Shot, I learned something new. There is a music genre called Power Pop originating in the early 1960's the genre eventually transitioned into what would now be recognized as pop-punk. It included upbeat, energetic bands, many of which I would classify as personal favorites of mine (the Who, the Beach Boys, Def Leppard, and even Weezer and Britney Spears as the genre evolved).
Just listen to the song. It is not only a great song that is fun to play on Guitar Hero (click here for serious nostalgia), but also a classic. It isn't going anywhere, so let's embrace it fully.
3.) Stronger – Kelly Clarkson
Sometimes, life seems to throw things at us that can get us down. But, this song is a reminder that, no matter what happens, we only get stronger. Kelly Clarkson belts it out with such power, it’s like you have no choice but to sing right along.
4.) P!nk: U + Ur Hand
I'm not here for your entertainment... enough said. This is a song demonstrating the potential satisfaction that could come from a perfectly executed Power Swerve. No boys allowed.
5.) Katy Perry - Part Of Me
"Throw your sticks and your stones, throw your bombs and your blows, but you’re not gonna break my soul." Let people say what they want to say. If someone degrades you or wants you to fail they don't matter. They either don't know you or don't deserve to know you. So as hard as it can be, let the words roll off, acknowledge the real you, and keep going. Results speak way louder than words.
6.) Britney Spears - Piece Of Me
THAT BEING SAID... every once in a while (for me, its always) it is okay to flash your claws and show everyone you're not to be messed with. That's a good time to dust off the Britney playlist.
7.) I'm Every Woman Whitney Houston I am going to be completely transparent here. I distinctly remember this being one of my earliest favorite songs. The music is fun, upbeat, and puts you in a great mood. However, I just looked up the lyrics to this song, and I am going to have to give the lyrical arrangement a 2.5/10. This song looks a lot like the "songs" I used to write with my friends on the playground in first grade (creative girl power) by rhyming words ad nauseam until we had enough content to declare it a "song". Even though I have no idea what is happening in I'm Every Woman... it is still a bop. So here, it shall stay.
8.) Express and Come on Over (All I Want Is You) by Christina Aguilera Another twofer. These Xtina jams have each had their time to shine on repeat in my car. Will break to dance shamelessly by myself at the red light.
9.) Let's Get Loud by Jennifer Lopez
This song is just fun. Put it on in the car with some girlfriends. If you don't have a great time... You're just lying. Play this song at my funeral please, and let's get this party started!
10.) Domino by Jessie J is my secret pump-up song.
I can not explain why, but there is something about the way that song makes me feel. Those closest to me know that this song is my miracle cure for a case of the blahs.
I want to hear what your fave girl party songs are! Shoot me a message so I can add your favorites to my playlist and so I can thank you for stopping by!
