Missing Persons Report: Jeremy Jac.
It feels almost shameful reappearing to my blog out of the blue. It has been months since I felt the inspiration to write. However, when I started this website I did so as a commitment to myself. My goal during quarantine was to get back to writing, for fun!
To tell you about where I am now, I think I need to fill you in on where I've been. In December my best friend, my mom, had an accident and sustained a traumatic brain injury. When she was finally almost back to her everyday routine, she had to go in for emergency surgery for a completely unrelated condition. I am so glad that I could be there for her with my medical educational background to help her in recovery. While those months were really hard on my whole family, I am happy to say she is fully recovered from both incidents now and I can really focus on myself. Enter Corona.
Blogging for me began more as a love project or a hobby. I had a couple of great jobs out of college in hospitals. But as my influence on Instagram grew and I started making a little bit of money here and there, I am now seeing how creating content and sharing my favorite tips and tricks online can be lucrative. There is a market for picture-perfect lifestyles! No one has one but everyone wants one.
Since being furloughed during this quarantine, I have had the opportunity to really continue to grow my Instagram, which for me was the easiest and fastest social media to build upon. I took courses, talked with experts in the field, and started to do what I can to set myself up for success in this industry. There are a lot of moving parts and hours of behind-the-scenes work, but I feel myself growing and developing skills that will carry me through whatever career I continue to pursue, be it artistic or clinical. I finally have the time to pursue these skills that I love... home design, lifestyle, and even cuisine! And I couldn't be happier to continue this project I started for myself back in September!
In the past, I put pressure on myself to make this space perfect. But now I just want to fill this blog with the many things that fill my day-to-day with such happiness and curiosity. I don't have a niche, I don't have an expertise, I simply have my passion for charm and simplicity and the drive to curate it!
Here's to growth and taking things one step at a time!
